It started with a simple question:
"In Grant County, how are the people in need getting clothing and shoes?"
That question led to a big dream. What if we provided a place for anyone, regardless of background, race, creeds, gender and orientation, to come get the items they need for free? Harvest Community Closet was created to fill that need. We opened our doors in August 2018. Every month since then, we have given away an estimated 500 items each month.
It is our heart to show the love of Jesus to our community by providing essential items to them in their times of need.

What can I donate?
The standard for donations should be this:
If you would not wear it or you not dress someone you love in it, please do not donate it.
The main donation categories we accept are: clothing, shoes, and household items. Household items are things like washed bedding, towels, dishes, cups, etc. Other things that we accept are toys, new hygiene products, new undergarments, children's books. Donations can be brought to Harvest Church during office hours and to the Community Closet during our open hours.

Donation: Our ability to give to our community depends on your donations. Please consider partnering with us with your donations.
Volunteering: We are a completely volunteer operated ministry. Without our wonderful volunteers, we would be unable to open our doors to the community. To volunteer, please click here.
Giving: Your monetary donations allow us to purchase needed items, such as racks, hangers and tables. Furthermore, it allows us to be in a position to fulfill specific needs for people. This could be as simple as a gift card to the grocery store or as complex as helping people who have escaped violence start over again. To give, please click here.
